The Whole of Wyrlde is titled
Wyrlde: Adventures in the Seven Cities.
Additions, updates, and such can be found at www.wyrlde.com. This is a Living Document website — changes and adjustments and new stuff will be added to the website, and once finalized, the primary books will only be updated yearly.
This website contains the content of the two primary Books: The Codexalia and the Incarnalia, covering the Setting and Character Creation, respectively. The PDFs of them in book format can be found on the Downloads page. Additional Books will be posted there are they are collated and made ready, but most of the material going forward will appear here first.
Wyrlde is designed to work with the House Rules — but those won’t fit the preconceptions you may have about races, classes, or professions, and Wyrlde uses several additions. For Wyrlde, all the Archetypes had to come from Wyrlde itself, not from something Earth-based. This meant a major changes to the races, to the classes, and to many other things.
The House Rules for Wyrlde have been described as a blend of 1st Edition AD&D and 5th Edition D&D. The overall design goal was to build upon and enhance or expand existing 5e systems and approaches, drawing inspiration and directions form earlier sets while preserving as much simplicity as possible. While some will feel that I have “rewritten the game so that it isn’t D&D anymore“, my players disagree and find it fun and to be D&D and they are the ones who I give a damn about, sorry.
However, you cannot use D&D Beyond’s tools with the House Rules. Indeed, you cannot use any VTT for Wyrlde without considerable effort put into copying over information and setting things up, and doing so would probably violate my copyright on stuff and annoy me. On the other hand, if the VTT wants to use Wyrlde, have them reach out to me.
You can, however, use the DDB with regular Rules for D&D 5th Edition.
Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, either the 2014 or the 2024 rule sets, is what the core rules for Wyrlde were based on, and the Core Books are still required: The Player’s Handbook (PHB) and The Dungeon Master’s Guide (DMG).
You can, however, play using the free Basic Rules or the SRD, which are the bare minimum requirements along with the material presented here.
Additional Books which could be of value: Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything (TCE) and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything (XGE).
I am available on DDB as AEDorsay. Other ways to contact me will show up if folks are interested enough.
Flat out — you can’t play in Wyrlde unless you have the books, even if a lot of the material there is similar to what is here (because a lot of stuff is not duplicated here).
